HELP FOR STUDENTS AND TEACHERS
We have a wide range of
brochures on weather subjects;
contact us for yours.
We also have a lot of
educational material on the
web site.
If you need more detailed information,
we can do that too, but there is a charge for the time we spend. So, how can you find the
answers for yourself?
Visit a library.
Libraries are there to help you find answers to your questions and they are free!
Check an encyclopedia. This is a good way to start your project. Your local
Council library will have at least one encyclopedia for younger readers and another
for the general public.
You may find on-line encyclopaedias useful; see
Encyclopaedia Britannica's Limited Search Facility or
Encarta On-line or the
Letsfindout Kids’ Encyclopedia.
See our lists of books about
weather and climate,
climate change and
natural disasters. If you know of a useful book or web link that's not
in our list, tell us about it!
In the Bureau’s book, WONDERS OF THE WEATHER
you will find answers to many of your questions.
Visit other parts of our home page and
look at other weather and climate web
sites.
Check the CSIRO Enquiries home page. They
provide help for teachers and students, and links to other useful sites.
JUST FOR TEACHERS. Would your class
benefit from a visit to the Bureau? Do they need data for an assignment? See our links to
schools programs.
