Summary
A low formed southeast of Christmas Island on 3 February and reached cyclone intensity on 6 February as it moved to the south. Kirrily peaked at category three intensity on 9 February but then weakened rapidly as the wind shear increased in subsequent days.
Kirrily remained over open waters and had no known impact to island or coastal communities.
