Area affected Arafura Sea, Timor Sea, Cobourg Peninsula, Tiwi Is.
Central pressure Lowest estimated 945 hPa on 9th, lowest measured 993 hPa on 7th at Black Point.
Winds Strongest estimated mean winds of 200 km/h with gusts to 250 km/h. 40kts (75 km/h) measured at Black Point on 7th. 55kts (103 km/h) off SE coast of Croker Island by the Trica Kate on 7th and 50kts (94 km/h) by Challis Venture (12.1S/125E) on 11th.
Rainfall Garden Pt recorded the highest 6, 24 and 48hr totals of 207mm (9am - 3pm) 8th, 337mm 9th and 540mm 9 - 10th. Other 24hr totals 150mm at Goulburn Island on the 8th and 261mm at Black Pt on the 8th.
Seas & storm surge The Challis Venture reported 11m seas. No reports of storm surges.
Damage Extensive damage to vegetation along the north coasts of Cobourg Peninsula and Tiwi Islands. Slight structural damage at Cape Don and 7 Spirit Wilderness. The Putjamira Tent camp on Cape Van Dieman was destroyed. A Customs launch was beached for safety. 36hr power outage at Garden Pt.
