Accommodation
Block bookings have been made at the following hotels to secure reduced rates. Your accommodation needs to be booked at the time of registration and NOT direct with the hotel. Early bookings are advised.
All rates include GST (Australian Goods and Services Tax) and are quoted on a per room per night basis and do not include breakfast. These rates cannot be guaranteed for accommodation requests made after 16 October, 2009. Accommodation cancelled within 30 days of pending arrival may be subject to a cancellation fee of the total booking or first night's accommodation, at the hotel's discretion. Distances indicated are between Newcastle City Hall and the hotel/motel.
Deposit
Accommodation bookings will NOT be made on your behalf unless accompanied by a minimum deposit of one night's accommodation (or a credit card guarantee - see below). You may also pre-pay your total accommodation if preferred otherwise you will be required to settle the remainder of your account in full on departure from the hotel. Accounts for payment will not be issued by the hotel unless you have made prior arrangements to do so.
Credit Card Guarantee Deposit
Alternatively, your accommodation deposit can be paid by a credit card guarantee. The credit card details provided will be forwarded to the applicable accommodation venue to secure your booking. The hotel may charge an amount equal to the first nights accommodation to the credit card prior to your arrival.
Change of Booking
Prior to 13 November, 2009, changes can be made through the Conference Manager. After this date, please contact the relevant hotel directly and advise the Conference Manager of the change as soon as possible.
Early Arrivals and Late Departures
All requests for early check-in and late checkout will be passed on to the respective hotels however no guarantees can be made. Check-in is usually after 2:00pm and checkout by 10:00am.
Sharing and Bedding Preference
When you register, please consider your options carefully. You may make substantial savings if you share with a fellow conference delegate. Please advise us on your registration form if you will be sharing with another conference delegate(s) and if so who. Please also advise us of your room and bedding preference (for example, whether you want one queen or two single beds, or a third person on a sofa bed)
