Tuesday evening meet and greet

To welcome visitors to Hobart we've organised a "meet and greet" on the evening of Tuesday 12 October. It will be a great opportunity to get your bearings, to meet the conference organisers, and even to register (so you can sleep in a bit on Wednesday).

This will include a dinner at the fully licensed Restaurant Tasman, located at the Hotel Grand Chancellor — the conference venue. This is at your own expense (payable on the night), but we've organised a great price of $34 per person for three courses or $27 per person for two courses.

This menu is a sample only as the actual dishes on the night will depend on availability. Restaurant Tasman can accommodate most special dietary requirements.

tian of cured ocean trout w/ crab mayo, avocado, celery & roasted almonds

main course

wild line caught whitefish w/ prosciutto wrapped prawn colcannon & fennel salad
twice cooked duck leg w/ parsnip veloute, crisp speck & blood oranges
red wine braised cape grim short rib w/ mash potatoes, olives, spinach & currants

dessert

chocolate fudge cake served w/ raspberry sherbet & meander valley cream
elgaar farm organic milk tart w/ cinnamon icecream
selection of three cheeses w/ fruit salami, lavosh & organic fruit bread
