Weather Situation A low pressure system will deepen off eastern Victoria tonight before moving steadily east late Sunday and Monday. A narrow ridge of high pressure will move across Victoria on Monday before drifting eastwards on Tuesday. A broad low pressure trough will move over South Australia on Tuesday to reach western Victoria on Wednesday. Forecast for the rest of Saturday Showers, tending to rain areas over parts of southern and eastern Victoria. Locally heavy falls likely in Gippsland. Local thunderstorms and hail over central and eastern areas. Snowfalls on the Alps. Cool to cold with fresh to strong southwesterly winds developing throughout, reaching gale force in southern and mountain areas. Forecast for Sunday Rain over Gippsland with heavy falls.
