Changes have been made to the method of deriving the spatial distribution of the probable maximum precipitation and to the list of notable point rainfall events in Australia.

The most important modification is the update to Figure 3. Figure 1 has also been amended. Both figures may be downloaded from the links below. Figures 5 to 8 on (the facing) pages 12 and 13 are no longer current and should be so marked.

This figure is provided for guidance only and applies strictly to the GSDM. New GSDM PMP estimates should only be made by using the new MAF data rather than by simply making adjustments on the basis of this figure.
