A summertime cold front: 6-10 February 2001

The maps (below) show a cold front passing across southern Australia between 6-10 February 2001.

Ahead of the front, maximum temperatures in Adelaide, Melbourne and Hobart soared into the high 30s (°C). As the front moved through, temperatures dropped into the low 20s (°C). The front produced very little rain.
