Merapi, Java, 22 November 1994

Comments: Merapi, one of the more famous and dangerous volcanoes on Java, had a dome collapse on 22 November 1994, resulting in pyroclastic flows and the deaths of at least 58 people. The eruption cloud pictured reached over 10 km in height and dissipated to the south of Java.
