Advisory Board Members

Membership of the Advisory Board is at the invitation of the Minister responsible for the Bureau.

The balance of membership is constituted so as to broadly reflect the Bureau's stakeholder community, with individual members invited to join on the basis of their ability to contribute at the highest level to the development of meteorology in Australia.

The Secretary of the Bureau's parent portfolio and the Director of Meteorology are ex officio members.

The current Board was appointed in March 2006 with four new members: Jan Adams, James Moody, Siobhan McKenna and Will Steffen. Appointments to the Advisory Board are for three years.
