The Bureau of Meteorology"s Climate Services are coordinated by the National Climate Centre (NCC), located in the Bureau"s Head Office, and the services are provided through the NCC, regional Climate and Consultative Services Sections (CCSs) and Field Meteorological Offices around Australia. The Climate Services Program makes a major contribution to internationally coordinated climate activities, particularly within the Asia-Pacific region and through the World Meteorological Organization (WMO). Several staff members are involved in international projects and programs, and serve as members of WMO Commission expert teams on climate related matters. The past year saw increased benefits to the community through a range of enhanced climate services provided by the National Climate Centre and the CCSs of the Bureau"s seven Regional Offices. |
