Cooperative Observations

(As at 4 August 2005)

An important element of the daily weather observations collected by the Bureau is supplied by cooperative observers. The total network of 407 cooperative observer stations will undergo some changes from 16 March 2005 as explained in the announcement of 8 February.

Stations which will cease manual observations (total of 18 stations). Observations will continue to be available, in most cases, from Automatic Weather Stations at or near these sites.

Stations which will adopt a reduced schedule (total of 144 stations).
