Christmas Island Forecast

Weather Situation:
A trough lies to the south of the island and will remain in the vicinity for
the duration of the forecast period. This will result in unsettled conditions
over the forecast period with possible heavy falls and thunderstorms. A
tropical low is embedded within this trough and will remain well to the west of
the island for the forecast period.

Forecast for the rest of Monday 6 February
Cloudy. Very high chance of showers. The chance of a thunderstorm and heavy
falls.
Winds: W/NW 15 to 20 knots.
Seas: 1.5 to 2.0 metres.
Swell 1: W/NW 1.5 to 2.0 metres.
Swell 2: S/SW about 1.0 metre.
