GALE WARNING FOR WESTERN AREA

SITUATION AT 1200UTC
Vigorous flow associated with a cold front 23S109E 30S109E to low 994hPa near
33S107E. Forecast cold front 23S112E 31S112E to low 989hPa near 33S108E at
181800UTC and cold front passing onto land near 23S115E 32S115E to low 985hPa
near to 35S110E at 190000UTC. Forecast vigorous flow associated with a trough
29S112E to low 985hPa near 36S112E at 190600UTC and 30S115E 32S116E to low
988hPa near 35S115E at 191200UTC.

AREA AFFECTED
Bounded by 24S114E 34S117E 37S110E 35S104E 30S104E 24S112E 24S114E.

FORECAST
Northerly quarter winds east of front turning westerly quarter west of front,
wind speeds 30/40 knots within 150nm of front. Clockwise winds 34/45 knots
within 150nm of low in northwestern semicircle extending to within 360nm after
181800UTC. Northwesterly quarter winds 34/45 knots east of trough and west of
coast turning southwesterly quarter within 300nm west of trough by 190600UTC.
Rough to very rough seas rising to very rough to high around low/trough.
Moderate to heavy swell.
