STORM FORCE WIND WARNING FOR WESTERN, SOUTHERN, AND SOUTHEASTERN AREAS

PLEASE BE AWARE
Wind and wave forecasts are averages. Wind gusts can be 40 per cent stronger
than the forecast, and stronger still in squalls and thunderstorms. Maximum
waves can be twice the forecast height.

Vigorous flow associated with a cold front 41S091E 51S107E to low 934hPa near
57S102E. Forecast 41S096E 53S115E to low 931hPa near 59S107E at 160000UTC,
42S102E 50S118E 55S123E to low 929hPa near 59S111E at 160600UTC, 43S111E
54S129E 61S132E to low 929hPa near 60S118E at 161200UTC, 44S118E 55S136E
61S140E to low 927hPa near 61S123E at 161800UTC.

FORECAST
Northwest quarter winds 30/40 knots within 600nm east of front, wind speeds
increasing to 34/47 knots within 270nm east of front.
Winds tending clockwise 30/40 knots within 720nm of low. Wind speeds grading to
34/47 knots within 360nm of low in the northern semicircle, and reaching 45/55
knots within 240 of low in the northern semicircle.
Rough to very rough seas, rising to high to very high with winds above 40
knots. Moderate to heavy swell.
