National Ecological Meta Database


Step 1:	Open the Personal Details section by clicking on the Personal Details Entry Form link below. Please fill in the form that is now open. When you have finished this section left-click the '-' to minimise the section.
Step 2:	Open the Dataset Details section (click the Dataset Details Entry Form link below) and complete the associated form. When you have completed this section, minimise the section (click the '-'). Click-on (check) the buttons that give permission for the metadata, you just entered, to be used by other people, including over the internet. (Remember the actual data remains with you and they will need to contact you to gain access to it.) Step 2 instructions
Step 3:	Click on the link for the type of data that you hold within the Specific Metadata Entry box below (e.g. Bird Metadata) and complete the corresponding form. Once complete, minimise the section (click the '-' ). If you have more than one type of data associated with that dataset, repeat this step until all data types have been entered. If your dataset does not fit under any of the predefined categories, please click on Other Metadata (bottommost category) and complete resultant form.
Step 4:	You must read the Terms and Conditions, and click the acceptance-box above the Submit button (bottom of screen) before any submission of metadata can be made.
Step 5:	Once STEPS 1-4 have been completed, click on the submit button.
