at Mogil Mogil

MINOR FLOODING OCCURRING AT MOGIL MOGIL

MINOR FLOODING POSSIBLE AT COLLARENEBRI OVERNIGHT TUESDAY AFTERNOON AND AT WALGETT FROM LATE THIS WEEK

Recent localised rainfall has caused significant river level rises along the Barwon and Moonie Rivers upstream of Mogil Mogil where minor flooding is occuring. This flow is now reaching Collarenebri and the flow is likely to exceed the minor flood level from overnight Tuesday. Floodwaters of the main flood peak are expected to move through Walgett downstream. Minor flooding is possible at Walgett late this week.

Forecasts will be refined once upstream peaks are observed.

Barwon River Mungindi to Collarenebri:

Minor flooding is likely to occur along the Barwon River Mungindi to Collarenebri.

The Barwon River at Mungindi is currently at 4.65 metres and rising, below minor flood level (6.10 m). The river level is expected to remain below the minor flood level.

The Barwon River at Mogil Mogil is peaking around 8.10 metres, with minor flooding and steady. The Barwon River at Mogil Mogil is likely to remain above the minor flood level (7.50 m) over the next few days.

The Barwon River at Collarenebri is currently at 5.53 metres and rising, below the minor flood level (5.80 m). The Barwon River at Collarenebri is likely to exceed the minor flood level (5.80 m) overnight Tuesday into Wednesday. The river level may peak near 6.10 metres during Wednesday, minor flooding.

Barwon River downstream of Collarenebri to Walgett:

Minor flooding may occur along the Barwon River downstream of Collarenebri to Walgett.

The Barwon River at Walgett is currently at 6.06 metres and rising, below the minor flood level (10.50 m) The Barwon River at Walgett may reach the minor flood level (10.50 m) during Friday into Saturday.
