Minor Flood Warning for the Warrego River (NSW)

at Barringun and Fords Bridge

MINOR FLOODING OCCURRING AT BARRINGUN

Recent rainfall and flood waters from Queensland has caused minor flooding along the Warrego River at Barringun.

The Warrego River at Enngonia is likely to remain below the minor flood level.

Minor flooding is likely along the Warrego River at Fords Bridge early December.

Further rainfall and thunderstorms are likely across the Warrego River catchment during the next few days, which could cause additional river level rises. The situation is being closely monitored and revised predictions will be issued if necessary.

Warrego River (NSW):

Minor flooding is occurring along the Warrego River (NSW) at Barringun.

The Warrego River at Barringun is expected to peak near 3.10 metres Friday morning.

The Warrego River at Enngonia is likely to peak below the minor flood level (2.00 metres) during Sunday 28 November.

The Warrego River at Fords Bridge Bywash may peak near 2.00 metres around Tuesday 7 December with minor flooding.

  • * Avoid drowning. Stay out of rising water, seek refuge in the highest available place.
  • * Prevent damage to your vehicle. Move it under cover, away from areas likely to flood.
  • * Avoid being swept away. Stay out of fast-flowing creeks and storm drains.
  • * Never drive, ride or walk through flood water. Flood water can be deceptive and dangerous.
