Severe Weather Warning
for damaging and locally destructive winds
for people in the Snowy Mountains forecast district

DAMAGING WINDS FOR SNOWY MOUNTAIN PEAKS
Northwest winds have eased below gale-force but may increase again over the alpine peaks of the Snowy Mountains ahead of another cold front on Sunday.
DAMAGING around 80 km/h with peak gusts of 125 km/h are possible for alpine areas of the Snowy Mountains forecast district above about 1600 metres on Sunday.
The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
- Move vehicles under cover or away from trees.
- Secure or put away loose items around your house, yard and balcony.
- Keep clear of fallen power lines.

The next warning will be issued by 5:00 am EST Sunday.
