Synoptic Situation
A high pressure system in the Tasman Sea extends a ridge along the Queensland
coast and directs easterly winds across coastal waters. The ridge is expected to
strengthen on Saturday causing winds to increase during the weekend.

WA Border to Daly River Mouth: 
Friday until midnight: Winds: West to southwesterly about 10 knots. Seas: Below
1 metre. Swell: Below 0.5 metres.
Saturday: Winds: Variable about 10 knots becoming easterly 10 to 15 knots in the
morning then shifting west to southwesterly in the early afternoon. Seas: Below
1 metre. Swell: Below 0.5 metres.
Sunday Outlook: Winds: Easterly 10 to 15 knots becoming variable about 10 knots
in the middle of the day.
Monday Outlook: Winds: East to southeasterly about 10 knots increasing to 10 to
15 knots during the morning then becoming variable about 10 knots during the
day.

Daly River Mouth to Cape Don: 
Friday until midnight: Winds: Variable about 10 knots becoming northeast to
southeasterly 10 to 15 knots in the evening. Seas: Below 1 metre. Swell:
Northeast to southeasterly below 1 metre.
Saturday: Winds: East to northeasterly 10 to 15 knots tending east to
southeasterly before dawn then tending east to northeasterly in the late
evening. Winds reaching up to 20 knots offshore during the day. Seas: Around 1
metre, increasing to 1 to 1.5 metres offshore during the morning. Swell: East to
northeasterly around 1 metre.
Sunday Outlook: Winds: East to southeasterly 15 to 20 knots tending east to
northeasterly 10 to 15 knots in the afternoon.
Monday Outlook: Winds: East to northeasterly 10 to 15 knots tending east to
southeasterly 15 to 20 knots during the morning then tending east to
northeasterly during the evening.

Friday until midnight: Winds: Easterly 10 to 15 knots, reaching up to 20 knots
offshore in the evening. Seas: Around 1 metre, increasing to 1 to 1.5 metres
offshore. Swell: Easterly below 1 metre offshore.
Saturday: Winds: East to southeasterly 15 to 20 knots. Seas: 1 to 1.5 metres,
increasing to 1.5 to 2 metres offshore during the afternoon. Swell: Easterly
below 1 metre, increasing to around 1 metre offshore.
Sunday Outlook: Winds: Southeasterly 15 to 20 knots.
Monday Outlook: Winds: Southeasterly 15 to 20 knots.

Friday until midnight: Winds: East to southeasterly 10 to 15 knots, reaching up
to 20 knots offshore in the evening. Seas: Around 1 metre, increasing to 1 to 2
metres offshore. Swell: Easterly below 1 metre.
Saturday: Winds: Easterly 15 to 20 knots turning southeasterly in the late
afternoon. Seas: 1 to 1.5 metres, increasing to 1 to 2 metres during the
morning, then decreasing to 1.5 metres during the afternoon. Swell: Easterly
around 1 metre, increasing to 1 to 1.5 metres around midday.
