Synoptic Situation
A weak ridge extends across northern Australia. A high moving across the Bight
today will cause freshening southeast winds over Gulf of Carpentaria waters on
Wednesday.

WA Border to Daly River Mouth: 
Tuesday until midnight: Winds: Variable about 10 knots. Seas: Below 1 metre.
Swell: Below 0.5 metres.
Wednesday: Winds: Variable about 10 knots becoming east to southeasterly 10 to
15 knots in the morning then becoming variable about 10 knots in the middle of
the day. Seas: Below 1 metre. Swell: Below 0.5 metres.
Thursday Outlook: Winds: Northeast to southeasterly 10 to 15 knots becoming
variable about 10 knots during the morning.

Daly River Mouth to Cape Don: 
Tuesday until midnight: Winds: Northeast to southeasterly 10 to 15 knots
becoming variable about 10 knots early in the morning then becoming east to
northeasterly 10 to 15 knots in the late afternoon. Seas: Below 1 metre. Swell:
Northeast to southeasterly below 1 metre offshore.
Wednesday: Winds: Variable about 10 knots becoming northwest to southwesterly 10
to 15 knots in the evening then becoming variable about 10 knots in the late
evening. Seas: Below 1 metre. Swell: Northeast to southeasterly below 1 metre
offshore.
Thursday Outlook: Winds: Variable about 10 knots.

Tuesday until midnight: Winds: Southeasterly 10 to 15 knots tending northeast to
southeasterly in the late afternoon. Seas: Around 1 metre. Swell: Easterly below
1 metre.
Wednesday: Winds: Southeasterly 10 to 15 knots. Seas: Around 1 metre, increasing
to 1 to 1.5 metres later in the evening. Swell: Easterly below 1 metre.
Thursday Outlook: Winds: Southeasterly 10 to 15 knots tending northeast to
southeasterly during the afternoon.

Northwest Gulf of Carpentaria: 
Tuesday until midnight: Winds: Southeasterly 10 to 15 knots decreasing to about
10 knots in the evening. Seas: 1 to 1.5 metres, decreasing to 1 metre around
midday. Swell: East to southeasterly below 1 metre offshore.
Wednesday: Winds: Southeasterly about 10 knots increasing to 15 to 20 knots
early in the morning. Seas: Around 1 metre, increasing to 1 to 1.5 metres during
the morning, then decreasing to 1 metre by early evening. Swell: Southeasterly
around 1 metre.
Thursday Outlook: Winds: South to southeasterly 10 to 15 knots tending east to
southeasterly below 10 knots during the day.

Tuesday until midnight: Winds: South to southeasterly 10 to 15 knots turning
east to northeasterly below 10 knots in the afternoon. Seas: Below 1 metre.
Swell: Below 0.5 metres. Weather: Areas of morning fog with reduced visibility.
Wednesday: Winds: Variable about 10 knots becoming south to southeasterly 15 to
20 knots before dawn then tending east to southeasterly in the middle of the
day. Seas: Below 1 metre, increasing to 1 to 1.5 metres during the morning, then
decreasing below 1 metre by early evening. Swell: Easterly below 1 metre.
Thursday Outlook: Winds: Southerly 10 to 15 knots tending southeasterly 15 to 20
knots during the morning then becoming variable about 10 knots during the
afternoon.
