A Wind Warning has been issued for the Southwest Gulf of Carpentaria.

Synoptic Situation
Winds increasing in the southern Gulf of Carpentaria on Saturday as a southeast
surge  reaches coastal waters from the next high moving across the Bight. Winds
increasing throughout from Sunday.

WA Border to Daly River Mouth: 
Friday until midnight: Winds: Variable about 10 knots. Seas: Below 1 metre.
Swell: Below 0.5 metres.
Saturday: Winds: Variable about 10 knots becoming east to southeasterly 10 to 15
knots early in the morning then tending southeast to southwesterly in the early
afternoon. Winds reaching up to 20 knots inshore in the late morning. Seas:
Around 1 metre. Swell: Northwest to northeasterly below 1 metre offshore.
Sunday Outlook: Winds: Southeasterly 15 to 20 knots.

Daly River Mouth to Cape Don: 
Friday until midnight: Winds: Northeast to southeasterly 10 to 15 knots,
reaching up to 20 knots north of the Tiwi Islands. Seas: Around 1 metre,
increasing to 1 to 1.5 metres offshore. Swell: East to northeasterly below 1
metre offshore.
Saturday: Winds: Easterly 10 to 15 knots, reaching up to 20 knots north of the
Tiwi Islands. Seas: Below 1 metre, increasing to 1 to 1.5 metres offshore.
Swell: East to northeasterly around 1 metre offshore.
Sunday Outlook: Winds: East to southeasterly 15 to 20 knots.

Friday until midnight: Winds: Easterly 15 to 20 knots. Seas: 1 to 1.5 metres.
Swell: Easterly below 1 metre.
Saturday: Winds: East to southeasterly 15 to 20 knots. Seas: 1 to 1.5 metres,
increasing to 1.5 to 2 metres offshore during the morning. Swell: Easterly
around 1 metre.
Sunday Outlook: Winds: Southeasterly 15 to 20 knots.

Friday until midnight: Winds: Easterly 10 to 15 knots, reaching up to 20 knots
offshore in the north early in the morning. Winds turning southeasterly in the
early afternoon. Seas: 1 to 1.5 metres, decreasing to 1 metre around midday.
Swell: Easterly below 1 metre.
Saturday: Winds: Southeasterly 15 to 20 knots. Seas: Around 1 metre, increasing
to 1 to 2 metres during the morning, then decreasing to 1.5 metres during the
afternoon. Swell: East to southeasterly around 1 metre.
Sunday Outlook: Winds: Southeasterly 15 to 20 knots.

Strong Wind Warning issued.
Friday until midnight: Winds: South to southeasterly 10 to 15 knots turning
easterly in the late afternoon. Seas: Below 1 metre. Swell: East to
northeasterly below 1 metre offshore. Reduced visibility with morning fog. 
Saturday: Winds: Southeasterly 15 to 25 knots increasing to 20 to 30 knots in
the morning then decreasing to 15 to 25 knots in the middle of the day. Seas: 1
to 1.5 metres, increasing to 1.5 to 2.5 metres during the morning, then
decreasing to 1.5 metres by early evening. Swell: Below 0.5 metres, tending east
to southeasterly 1 to 1.5 metres around midday.
Sunday Outlook: Winds: Southeasterly 15 to 25 knots decreasing to 10 to 15 knots
during the evening.
