Synoptic Situation
A ridge of high pressure across central Australia will maintain moderate to
fresh east to southeast winds over Territory coastal waters during the next few
days.

WA Border to Daly River Mouth: 
Tuesday until midnight: Winds: East to southeasterly about 10 knots increasing
to 10 to 15 knots early in the morning then becoming variable about 10 knots in
the middle of the day. Winds reaching up to 20 knots offshore in the late
morning. Seas: Around 1 metre. Swell: Below 0.5 metres.
Wednesday: Winds: South to southeasterly about 10 knots tending east to
southeasterly 10 to 15 knots early in the morning then becoming variable about
10 knots in the middle of the day. Seas: Below 1 metre. Swell: Northwest to
northeasterly below 1 metre offshore.
Thursday Outlook: Winds: Variable about 10 knots becoming east to southeasterly
10 to 15 knots during the morning then becoming variable about 10 knots during
the day.

Daly River Mouth to Cape Don: 
Tuesday until midnight: Winds: Northeast to southeasterly 15 to 20 knots. Seas:
1 to 2 metres, decreasing to 1.5 metres around midday. Swell: East to
northeasterly around 1 metre.
Wednesday: Winds: Easterly 10 to 15 knots, reaching up to 20 knots offshore
during the day. Seas: 1 to 2 metres, decreasing to 1.5 metres around midday.
Swell: East to northeasterly 1 to 1.5 metres offshore, decreasing to around 1
metre by early evening.
Thursday Outlook: Winds: East to northeasterly 15 to 20 knots.

Cape Don to Cape Wessel: 
Tuesday until midnight: Winds: East to southeasterly 10 to 15 knots, reaching up
to 20 knots offshore during the day. Seas: 1 to 1.5 metres, increasing to 1.5 to
2 metres offshore by early evening. Swell: Easterly below 1 metre, increasing to
1 to 1.5 metres offshore by early evening.
Wednesday: Winds: Easterly 15 to 20 knots. Seas: 1.5 to 2 metres, decreasing to
1.5 metres during the morning, then increasing to 1.5 to 2 metres later in the
evening. Swell: Easterly 1 to 1.5 metres, decreasing to around 1 metre around
midday. 
Thursday Outlook: Winds: Easterly 15 to 20 knots.

Northwest Gulf of Carpentaria: 
Tuesday until midnight: Winds: East to southeasterly 15 to 20 knots, reaching up
to 25 knots offshore in the late evening. Seas: 1.5 to 2 metres, decreasing to
1.5 metres around midday, then increasing to 1 to 2 metres later in the evening.
Swell: Easterly around 1 metre, increasing to 1 to 1.5 metres offshore around
midday.
Wednesday: Winds: Easterly 15 to 20 knots. Seas: 1 to 2 metres, decreasing to
1.5 metres around midday. Swell: Easterly around 1 metre. 
Thursday Outlook: Winds: Easterly 15 to 20 knots.

Tuesday until midnight: Winds: South to southeasterly 10 to 15 knots tending
east to southeasterly below 10 knots in the morning. Seas: Around 1 metre.
Swell: Easterly below 1 metre offshore.
Wednesday: Winds: East to southeasterly about 10 knots increasing to 10 to 15
knots in the morning. Seas: Below 1 metre. Swell: Easterly below 1 metre.
Thursday Outlook: Winds: East to southeasterly about 10 knots.
