About Tide Predictions

  • The times stated are in Standard Time (24 hour clock). During Daylight Saving Time (when in force) one hour needs to be added to the times stated.
  • All predicted tide heights are in metres above Prediction Datum.
  • Prediction Datum is a low water datum, which is some distance below Australian Height Datum, which is a Mean Sea Level datum.
  • The tide predictions for the Standard Ports are based on sea level observations, hence the tide needs to be estimated between the Standard Ports.
