Current Weather Situation and Future Developments
A trough of low pressure extends from the centre of the continent down though southeastern NSW triggering showers and thunderstorms, chiefly to the south of the ACT. This change has also pushed the hottest mass of air that brought yesterday's record temperatures to the north of the ACT, resulting in temperatures falling by a few degrees. A weak cold front currently moving through the Bight will move to the south of the region by Monday bringing a cool change as winds shift around to the southeast.
