Cancellation of Severe Thunderstorm Warning
For people in Central West Slopes and Plains, Riverina and Lower Western Forecast Districts.
Issued at 2:30 am Wednesday, 22 March 2023.
Thunderstorms continue over the interior, but have eased.
Weather Situation: A moist environment is combining with an upper trough to produce thunderstorms over the interior.
Thunderstorms are continuing over the state's interior, but there is no longer evidence of them being severe. The situation will continue to be monitored and further warnings will be issued if necessary.
Mount Hope recorded 26mm in 30 minutes to 10:30 pm.
The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
* Keep clear of fallen power lines.
* Keep clear of creeks and storm drains.
* Don't walk, ride your bike or drive through flood water.
* Stay vigilant and monitor conditions. Note that the landscape may have changed following bushfires.
* For emergency help in floods and storms, ring the SES (NSW and ACT) on 132 500.
