Gale warning for Victorian waters between Wilsons Promontory and 60nm east of Gabo Island.

A low pressure system tracking across Victoria will move rapidly southeastwards to lie near Wilsons Promontory about 0800 Sunday then east of Tasmania by 1500 Sunday and well southeast of Tasmania by Monday morning. A high pressure ridge will extend over Victoria on Monday while a weak cold front crosses Tasmania. A high pressure system will move across Victoria on Tuesday to eventually reach the Tasman Sea later on Wednesday.
Winds: Northerly 15 to 20 knots increasing to up to 30 knots in the east during the morning then tending northwesterly 20 to 30 knots around midday then tending west to southwesterly 30 to 35 knots mid to late afternoon. Seas: 1 to 2 metres increasing to 2 to 3 metres around midday then increasing to 4 to 5 metres during the afternoon. Swell: Southeasterly 1.5 metres. Swell: Southwesterly about 1 metre. The chance of thunderstorms during this afternoon.
Winds: West to southwesterly 20 to 30 knots. Seas: Up to 4 metres decreasing to 3 metres during the morning then increasing to 3 to 4 metres during the afternoon. Swell: Southwesterly 1 to 2 metres. Swell: Southeasterly about 1.5 metres decreasing to 0.5 metres in the afternoon and evening.
Winds: Westerly 15 to 25 knots tending west to southwesterly 10 to 20 knots during the morning then tending west to northwesterly during the evening. Seas: Up to 3 metres decreasing to 2 metres during the morning. Swell: Southwesterly about 2 metres.
