STORM FORCE WIND WARNING FOR SOUTHEASTERN AREA

PLEASE BE AWARE
Wind gusts can be a further 40 percent stronger than the averages given here,
and maximum waves may be up to twice the height.

SITUATION AT 0600UTC
Vigorous flow associated with cold front 40S159E 44S162E to low 953hPa near
52S159E, with cold front and low further southeast of area at 241200UTC.

AREA AFFECTED
Bounded by 50S149E 44S147E 42S149E 42S160E 50S160E 50S149E.

FORECAST
Westerly quarter winds, tending clockwise within 240nm of low. Wind speeds
30/40 knots, increasing to 35/45 knots within 60nm northwest of line 50S154E
48S160E. Wind speeds further increasing to 45/55 knots southeast of line
50S154E 48S160E.

After 240900UTC, winds becoming westerly quarter 34/45 knots and contracting to
south of 44S, east of 150E, although remaining 45/55 knots southeast of 50S154E
48S160E.

After 241800UTC winds decreasing below 34 knots west of 154E and becoming
westerly quarter 35/47 knots southeast of line 50S154E 48S160E. After 250000UTC
winds easing to 30/40 knots south of 46S, east of 155E and below 34 knots
north/west of that line. Winds easing below 34 knots throughout by 250600UTC.

Rough to very rough seas. Southeast of line 50S154E 48S160E seas rising very
rough to high and reaching high to very high at times. Moderate to heavy swell
increasing to heavy from 241500UTC.
