GALE WARNING FOR SOUTHERN AND WESTERN AREAS

PLEASE BE AWARE
Wind and wave forecasts are averages. Wind gusts can be 40 per cent stronger
than the forecast, and stronger still in squalls and thunderstorms. Maximum
waves can be twice the forecast height.

Vigorous flow associated with a developing cold front forecast near 53S080E
58S085E to low 964hPa near 60S084E at 160600UTC, 49S080E 57S090E to low 959hPa
near 60S088E at 161200UTC, 45S086E 56S094E to low 955hPa near 60S091E at
161800UTC, and 44S091E 54S099E to low 953hPa near 60S092E at 170000UTC.

AREA AFFECTED
Bounded by 60S080E 61S094E 51S094E 47S088E 47S080E 60S080E.

FORECAST
Northwest quarter winds east of cold front, tending southwest quarter west of
front. Clockwise winds within 180nm of low. Wind speeds 30/40 knots from
160300UTC. Rough to very rough seas. Moderate to heavy swell.
