Tropical Cyclone Outlook for Coral Sea

for the period until midnight EST Thursday 30 March 2017.
Existing Cyclones in the Eastern Region:
At 3pm, Tropical Cyclone Debbie was estimated to be 355 kilometres east of Townsville. Tropical Cyclone Debbie is forecast to track west-southwesterly, bringing the system towards the north Queensland coast and is most likely to cross the Queensland coast on Tuesday morning. Conditions are expected to favour the continued intensification of the cyclone as it approaches the coast tonight into Tuesday morning before crossing.
