No warnings for Queensland

Forecast issued at 4:15 pm EST on Wednesday 27 May 2020.

Weather Situation

A broad area of high pressure over central Australia extends a weak ridge across southern Queensland and along the tropical east coast, while a broad low pressure system remains slow moving off the New South Wales Coast. The combination of these systems will maintain a cool and relatively dry southwest to southerly flow across most of Queensland. A broad upper trough is moving across southern parts of the the state today and tomorrow generating some high cloud, though no rainfall is expected with this feature. In the coming days, a high will build over southeastern Australia, extending a strengthening ridge along the Queensland east coast.
