Weather Situation

A firm ridge extends over the state from a high moving into the Great Australian Bight on Monday. The high will move eastwards over the next several days, maintaining the ridge. A trough will linger inland of the east coast of northern Queensland.

Mostly clear. Slight chance of a shower, becoming less likely later this evening. The chance of a thunderstorm early this evening. Winds northeasterly 15 to 20 km/h becoming light in the evening.

Monday 22 September

Partly cloudy. The chance of fog in the early morning. Medium chance of showers, most likely in the afternoon and evening. Light winds becoming east to northeasterly 15 to 20 km/h in the middle of the day then becoming light in the evening. Overnight temperatures falling to between 17 and 21 with daytime temperatures reaching 27 to 32.
