Major Flood Warning for the Lower Flinders River

MAJOR FLOODING SLOWLY EASING AT WALKERS BEND OVER THE NEXT FEW DAYS

Flooding is continuing along the lower Flinders River as a result of moderate to heavy rainfall over the last few weeks.

No significant rainfall is forecast over the next few days.

Flinders River downstream of Richmond:

Major flooding is continuing along the Flinders River downstream of Richmond.

The Flinders River at Walkers Bend is currently at 9.38 metres and falling, above the major flood level (8.00 m). The river level is easing slowly, however it is likely to remain above the major flood level (8.00 m) for the next few days.
