Minor Flood Warning for the Logan and Albert Rivers

MINOR FLOODING TO EASE AT MACLEAN BRIDGE AND A MINOR FLOOD PEAK LIKELY AT PARKLANDS WITH HIGH TIDE

Flood waters are arriving along the lower Logan River after peaks upstream during Wednesday and Thursday.

In the 24 hours to 9:00 am Friday, no significant rainfall has been observed in the catchment area. No further significant rainfall is forecast for the remainder of Friday.

Logan River to Yarrahappini:

Minor flooding is easing along the Logan River to Yarrahappini.

The Logan River at Beaudesert is currently at 2.92 metres (below minor flood level 5.50 m) and falling.

Logan River downstream of Yarrahappini:

Minor flooding is occurring along the Logan River downstream of Yarrahappini.

The Logan River at Maclean Bridge peaked at 14.19 metres around 12:30 pm Thursday 02 December and is currently at 11.34 metres and falling, with minor flooding. The Logan River at Maclean Bridge is likely to fall below the minor flood level (10.00 m) Friday afternoon.

The Logan River at Waterford peaked at 5.53 metres (below minor flood level 6.00 m) around 11:00 pm Thursday 02 December and is currently at 5.25 metres and falling. The Logan River at Waterford is expected to remain below the minor flood level (6.00 m) during Friday and into Saturday.

The Logan River at Parklands is currently at 2.59 metres and rising, with minor flooding. The Logan River at Parklands is likely to peak near 3.50 metres Friday afternoon, with the high tide.
