MINOR FLOODING TO CONTINUE AT NORMANTON DURING FRIDAY AND INTO THE WEEKEND
Isolated totals of 60-80 mm were recorded in the 24-hours to 3:00 pm Friday. Further showers and thunderstorms are forecast over the weekend. The situation is being closely monitored, and warnings will be updated as necessary.
Norman River:
Minor flooding is expected to continue along the Norman River between Yappar River and Normanton.
The Norman River at Normanton is currently at 2.59 metres and rising, with minor flooding. The Norman River at Normanton is expected to remain above the minor flood level (2.00 m) during Friday and into the weekend.
