MINOR FLOOD WARNING FOR THE THOMSON RIVER

Minor flood levels are possible at Longreach this week.
No further significant rainfall is expected across the warning area during this week.
An initial peak below the minor flood level has been recorded at Longreach. Renewed rises are possible during this week as upstream flood waters move downstream.
River level rises are forecast to remain below the minor flood level this week along the Thomson River downstream of Longreach between Bogewong and Jundah.
Predicted River Heights/Flows:
THOMSON RIVER at:
CAMOOLA PARK: River levels are expected to have fallen below the minor flood level (2.0 metres).
LONGREACH: River level rises above the minor flood level (3.3 metres) are possible during this week.
STONEHENGE (East): At this stage, river levels at the manual gauge are expected to remain below the minor flood level (2.0 metres).
JUNDAH: River levels are expected to remain below the minor flood level (2.5 metres).
Forecasts for Stonehenge and Jundah will be updated as upstream peaks are recorded.
