Minor Flood Warning for the Tully River

Flood Warning Number: 3


Rainfall totals of between 50 - 150 mm have been observed in the catchment in the 24 hrs to 3pm Monday 18 th January. Rainfall has eased in the catchment with rainfall totals in the 3 hours to 3pm Monday 18th January less than 5mm. The rainfall to date is causing river rises in the Tully River.

Some further rainfall associated with Tropical Cyclone Kimi is possible in the next few days, which may cause further river rises.

Tully River:

Minor flooding may occur along the Tully River.

The Tully River at Euramo is currently at 5.29 metres and rising. A peak around the minor flood level (6.0m) is likely in the Tully River at Euramo Monday evening.
