Minor Flood Warning for the Tully River and Flood Warning for the Murray River

Flood Warning Number: 4

Minor flood levels are easing on the Tully River at Euramo following a minor flood peak late Friday morning.

Rainfall totals of up to approximately 20 mm have been recorded since 9:00 am Friday.

Further heavy rainfall is expected over the weekend and into next week which will lead to renewed river level rises.

Tully River:

River levels are falling in the upper reaches of the Tully River between Tully Gorge and Bolinda Estate. Downstream, minor flood levels are falling slowly at Euramo following a minor flood peak late Friday morning.

The Tully River at Euramo is currently at 6.23 metres and falling. The river level is likely to fall below the minor flood level (6.00 m) early Saturday morning, but renewed rises are likely later in the weekend with further rainfall.

Murray River:

River levels remain steady in the upper Murray River.

The Murray River at Murray Flats is currently at 6.25 metres and steady. Further small rises are likely during Friday afternoon and evening, but the river level is expected to remain below the minor flood level (7.00 m).
