Initial Minor Flood Warning for the Wallam and Mungallala Creeks

Issued at 4:50 pm EST on Thursday 2 December 2021

Flood Warning Number: 1


In the 48 hours to 9:00am Thursday, rainfall totals of up to 60 mm were recorded in the Wallam and Mungallala Creeks catchment. There is no further significant rainfall forecast for the remainder of Thursday and during Friday.

Wallam Creek:

Minor flooding is expected along the Wallam Creek.

The Wallam Creek at Bollon is currently at 0.48 metres and rising. The Wallam Creek at Bollon is expected to exceed the minor flood level (0.50 m) Thursday evening. The river level is likely to peak near 0.60 metres Friday morning.

Mungallala Creek:

There are no current observations available along the Mungallala Creek, however river levels are likely to be elevated.
