Beth Ebert

Research Program Leader, Weather and Environmental Prediction

Current work and responsibilities

Beth leads a program of about 45 scientists and IT professionals working on high impact weather science, aviation hazards, radar science and nowcasting, satellite applications, NWP post-processing, and forecast systems.

She conducts research on diagnostic methods for forecast verification, particularly spatial methods for verifying high resolution NWP. She also works on weather-related forecasting applications in smoke and air quality, pollen and thunderstorm asthma, heat wave, and hazard impacts.
