Welcome to a Q&A session with Dr Berit Arheimer who has initiated, lead and delivered European and Global scale climate services for water and other sectors for the Copernicus C3S Sectorial Information Systems (C3S SIS, https://climate.copernicus.eu/). This session will be an opportunity to learn more about how Europe is addressing the provision of operational climate services under Copernicus, the challenges and opportunities of setting up services at larger scales, working with users, and collaborating with other institutions to provide ensemble information. In particular, Berit leads the setup and now ongoing operation of the sectorial information services for Water, SWICCA ( https://climate.copernicus.eu/operational-service-water-sector, http://swicca.climate.copernicus.eu/) and the global proof of concept, GLORIOUS, to which the Bureau of Meteorology contributes as a subcontractor.
