Weather Situation

A slow moving trough of low pressure will be near the western border until early Thursday then a vigorous cold front will move across the west during Thursday to reach central and southeastern parts in the evening. A colder, fresh to strong and gusty southwesterly airstream will follow the front and will persist on Friday, but will ease in the west as a ridge of high pressure develops over the Bight. Conditions will ease further on Saturday as a high pressure system develops to the west of the Bight. This high will move southeastwards during Sunday and Monday.

Forecast for the rest of Wednesday

Sunny. Winds north to northeasterly 20 to 30 km/h tending west to northwesterly in the middle of the day then tending east to northeasterly 15 to 20 km/h in the evening. Daytime maximum temperatures 29 to 35.

The chance of a thunderstorm from the late morning. Winds northeasterly 20 to 25 km/h increasing to 50 km/h before shifting west to southwesterly 30 to 40 km/h from mid afternoon.
