Weather Situation

A high pressure system centred over the Tasman Sea will continue to move slowly eastwards, reaching New Zealand later Wednesday. A trough of low pressure over the far west of the State will also move only slowly eastwards during the next few days reaching the eastern border on Friday.

Partly cloudy. Winds east to northeasterly 15 to 25 km/h.

Wednesday 22 November

Cloudy. Very high (95%) chance of showers developing during the morning. A thunderstorm likely. Heavy falls possible in the afternoon or evening. Winds northeasterly 15 to 20 km/h tending northwest to northeasterly 30 to 45 km/h before dawn then becoming light in the evening. Overnight temperatures falling to the low 20s with daytime temperatures reaching the mid to high 20s.
