Weather Situation

A high pressure ridge lies over the north of the State. A cold front moving across the south this evening will move away to the east early Saturday morning. A high pressure system will move over the Bight late Saturday and is then expected to move slowly northeastwards early next week. Another cold front will move across from the west mid to late next week.

Forecast for the rest of Friday

Cloudy. Very high (90%) chance of rain, most likely later this evening. Winds northwesterly 30 to 40 km/h turning west to southwesterly 20 to 30 km/h in the evening.

Saturday 18 August

Partly cloudy. Medium (50%) chance of showers, most likely in the early morning with possible hail. Winds west to southwesterly 25 to 40 km/h tending south to southwesterly 20 to 30 km/h during the day. Overnight temperatures falling to between 6 and 9 with daytime temperatures reaching around 14.
