Weather Situation

A high pressure ridge lies over the north of the State. A cold front moving across the south this evening will move away to the east early Saturday morning. A high pressure system will move over the Bight late Saturday and is then expected to move slowly northeastwards early next week. Another cold front will move across from the west mid to late next week.

Forecast for the rest of Friday

Mostly clear. Slight (20%) chance of a shower in the west later tonight. Winds westerly 15 to 20 km/h turning northwesterly in the evening.

Saturday 18 August

Partly cloudy. Medium (50%) chance of showers, most likely in the early morning. Possible hail in the morning and afternoon. Winds westerly 25 to 35 km/h turning southwesterly 30 to 40 km/h in the morning then decreasing to 20 to 30 km/h in the late afternoon. Overnight temperatures falling to around 7 with daytime temperatures reaching around 16.
