Weather Situation

A cold front over South Australia will continue to move eastwards tonight. A high southwest of WA will extend a ridge over the north of South Australia on Friday allowing another front to pass over the southeast of the State overnight Friday and early Saturday morning. The high will then strengthen over the Bight later Saturday and move eastwards on Sunday to be over New South Wales by later in the day. Another front will move over the south later on Monday.

Forecast for the rest of Thursday

Cloudy. High (80%) chance of showers, becoming less likely later tonight. The chance of a thunderstorm early this evening. Winds west to southwesterly 15 to 25 km/h.

Friday 19 August

Partly cloudy. Very high (90%) chance of showers, most likely in the late afternoon and evening. Winds westerly 15 to 25 km/h turning northwesterly 25 to 35 km/h in the early afternoon. Overnight temperatures falling to between 4 and 7 with daytime temperatures reaching around 16.
