Weather Situation

A ridge of high pressure over the south of the State will persist through to the middle of the week. A very hot northerly airstream will develop later in the week ahead of a trough of low pressure and associated upper feature that will drag tropical moisture over the State as the trough moves across the west and south on Friday and the northeast on Saturday.

Wednesday 29 January

Very hot and sunny. Winds northeast to southeasterly 15 to 25 km/h tending north to northeasterly 20 to 30 km/h in the morning then tending northeast to southeasterly 15 to 25 km/h in the evening. Overnight temperatures falling to between 14 and 18 with daytime temperatures reaching the low to mid 40s.
