Weather Situation

A cold front which moved over the west of SA Wednesday morning will move over remaining districts during the afternoon and evening. An associated cloud band will persist over the northeast during Thursday and Friday. A slow-moving low pressure system will move across the southeast of the State on Thursday and Friday. A high pressure ridge will move over the west later in the weekend then move slowly eastwards early next week.

Mostly clear. Medium (60%) chance of showers south of Streaky Bay, near zero chance elsewhere. Winds westerly 25 to 35 km/h turning northwesterly 15 to 25 km/h in the evening.

Thursday 11 August

Partly cloudy. Very high (90%) chance of showers, most likely from the late morning. The chance of a thunderstorm, possibly severe with damaging winds south of Streaky Bay. Winds northwesterly 25 to 40 km/h turning westerly 30 to 45 km/h in the late morning then decreasing to 25 to 35 km/h in the late afternoon. Overnight temperatures falling to around 6 with daytime temperatures reaching around 16.
