Weather Situation

A low pressure trough over the west and about southern coastal districts will move inland during the day, reaching a line near Oodnadatta to Broken Hill late Saturday evening. Very hot with strengthening northwesterly winds and severe heatwave conditions continuing over inland parts ahead of the trough bringing milder, strong and gusty southerly winds. A high pressure system will move quickly across South Australia on Sunday and Monday followed by another trough moving across from the west early next week.

Very hot. Partly cloudy. High (80%) chance of rain late this afternoon and evening. The chance of a thunderstorm in the north this evening. Winds south to southeasterly 25 to 40 km/h turning southwesterly 35 to 45 km/h in the evening. Daytime maximum temperatures 27 to 38.

Winds northeast to southeasterly 15 to 25 km/h tending west to southwesterly 35 to 50 km/h during the morning then tending south to southwesterly 25 to 30 km/h during the evening. Overnight temperatures falling to around 17 with daytime temperatures reaching the low to high 20s.
