Fire Weather Warning
for the North West Pastoral, North East Pastoral, Eastern Eyre Peninsula, Flinders, Mid North, Mount Lofty Ranges and Yorke Peninsula forecast districts

Issued at 5:05 am CDT on Friday 31 October 2014.

Weather Situation

Hot and dry with northeast to northwesterly winds around 30-40 km/h ahead of a cooler southwesterly change around 30-40 km/h. The change is expected near Ceduna mid morning and Adelaide during the afternoon. Showers and thunderstorms extending eastwards across the State during the day.

For the rest of Friday 31 October:

Severe Fire Danger is forecast for the following forecast districts:
North West Pastoral, North East Pastoral, Eastern Eyre Peninsula, Flinders, Mid North, Mount Lofty Ranges and Yorke Peninsula
The Country Fire Service advises that fires burning under these conditions are likely to be fast-moving and uncontrollable.
