Fire Weather Warning
for the North West Pastoral, North East Pastoral and Flinders forecast districts

Issued at 9:24 am CDT on Monday 22 December 2014.

Weather Situation

Hot to very hot and dry with northeast to northwesterly winds increasing to 30-45 km/h. Showers and possible thunderstorms extending from the west, reaching eastern districts later.

For the rest of Monday 22 December:

Severe Fire Danger is forecast for the following forecast districts:
North West Pastoral, North East Pastoral and Flinders
The Country Fire Service advises that fires burning under these conditions are likely to be fast-moving and uncontrollable.

The Country Fire Service advises:

  • Action your Bushfire Survival Plan now.
  • Monitor the fire and weather situation through your local radio station, www.cfs.sa.gov.au, and www.bom.gov.au.
