Fire Weather Warning
for the North West Pastoral, Flinders, Mid North, Mount Lofty Ranges, Riverland, Murraylands, Upper South East and Lower South East forecast districts

Issued at 4:32 pm CDT on Friday 27 February 2015.

Weather Situation

Hot to very hot in the north and east with winds becoming north to northwesterly and increasing to 25-45 km/h. Winds tending northwest to westerly early afternoon ahead of a southwest to southerly change pushing inland at 30-45 km/h to reach a line Leigh Creek to Broken Hill late evening. Showers and thunderstorms in the west extending east over Agricultural Areas and southern Pastorals.

For Saturday 28 February:

Severe Fire Danger is forecast for the following forecast districts:
North West Pastoral, Flinders, Mid North, Mount Lofty Ranges, Riverland, Murraylands, Upper South East and Lower South East
The Country Fire Service advises that fires burning under these conditions are likely to be fast-moving and uncontrollable.
