Satellite | Satellite Products and Archive | About Satellite Images

A composite or false colour image is created by assigning Red, Green and Blue colour to a channel then the false colour image is created by combining the three new images. In this composite the Green and Red colour have been assigned to the VIS channel and Blue to the IR1 channel. The false colour effect has variable results due to the dependance of the VIS image on intensity of the solar beam and relative position of the sun and the satellite with respect to the Earth.
