Weather Situation

A weak cold front over Tasmania will move to the east tonight, in a westerly flow, as a high moves south of South Australia. The high will move to the northwest of Tasmania during Wednesday and weaken while a new high centre will develop east of the state. This high will track eastwards over the Tasman Sea during Thursday. The next cold front will approach the west of Tasmania late Thursday before weakening and crossing the state early Friday as a ridge extends to the north. Another cold front will cross Tasmania later Saturday with westerly winds shifting southerly.

Mostly sunny. Winds west to southwesterly 25 to 40 km/h becoming southwesterly 20 to 30 km/h early in the morning then becoming light in the afternoon. Overnight temperatures falling to around 9 with daytime temperatures reaching around 16.
