Weather Situation

A northwesterly stream over Tasmania will strengthen tomorrow ahead of a cold front, which will cross Tasmania in the afternoon bearing a cold southwesterly flow in its wake. The flow will tend west to northwesterly on Saturday before strengthening on Sunday ahead of another front which will cross the state later in the day. On Monday, a southwesterly flow will slowly ease as a high moves to the north of Tasmania.

Cloudy. Slight (30%) chance of a light shower, most likely later tonight. Winds northwesterly 15 to 25 km/h.

Friday 23 June

Partly cloudy. Very high (95%) chance of showers. Winds northwesterly 25 to 35 km/h increasing to 35 to 50 km/h in the morning then turning southwesterly 35 to 45 km/h in the evening. Overnight temperatures falling to between 6 and 9 with daytime temperatures reaching around 14.
