A high to the east of Tasmania will move over New Zealand on Wednesday and then remain stationary. A trough and low pressure system over the Bight will move slowly eastwards so that the trough will be over western Victoria on Thursday and then over Tasmania on Friday and Saturday. The low will gradually weaken and move south over the coming days.
