A cool southerly airstream over Tasmania will tend westerly overnight as a high pressure system approaches Tasmania from the west. The high will weaken to the northwest of Tasmania during Monday, with a cold front to cross the state early Tuesday bringing a southwesterly stream that is expected to persist through Wednesday. A high will slowly approach Tasmania from the west during Thursday.
