Weather Situation

A fresh to strong and gusty west to southwesterly flow over Tasmania will gradually ease during Saturday as a high begins to approach from the northwest. The high will pass to the north of Tasmania on Sunday, extending a ridge over the state, before moving eastwards into the Tasman Sea by Sunday evening. Warm northerly winds will be directed over Tasmania on Monday, before a trough crosses the state in the evening, bringing a cooler westerly flow. A weak front is expected to cross early Tuesday and weaken to a trough about the north, while a ridge extending from the Bight moves over southern Tasmania.

Partly cloudy. Winds westerly 40 to 60 km/h. Overnight temperatures falling to around 11 with daytime temperatures reaching between 16 and 19.
