Weather Situation

A broad and complex area of low pressure lies to the south and west of Tasmania. The system will track eastwards today and a weak low and associated cold front will cross the west coast tonight. A colder southwesterly stream will develop during Monday morning, then tend westerly on Tuesday as a high moves over Victoria. The high is expected to move over the Tasman Sea early Wednesday, while an area of low pressure over the Bight moves southeastwards, forecast to lie over Tasmania in the evening.

Cloudy. Very high (near 100%) chance of showers, becoming less likely later tonight. The chance of a thunderstorm with gusty winds. Winds northwesterly 35 to 55 km/h turning west to southwesterly 30 to 45 km/h in the evening. Daytime maximum temperatures around 15.
