Weather Situation

A weak trough lies over northern Tasmania, while a high moves west of King Island tonight. The high will remain to the west of Tasmania on Friday, while a cold front approaches from the southwest and brushes southern Tasmania late in the evening. As the front moves away early Saturday, the high will slowly move to the south of the state, bringing settled weather and warmer conditions on Sunday as the high moves away to the east and a northeasterly stream develops. The high will track over the Tasman Sea during Monday directing a warm to locally hot northerly stream over Tasmania, ahead of a cold front approaching from the west late.

Cloudy. Light winds becoming southwesterly 15 to 25 km/h in the early afternoon then tending southerly in the evening. Overnight temperatures falling to around 13 with daytime temperatures reaching the low 20s.
