Weather Situation

A low pressure system to the east of Tasmania continues to move away from the state this evening, ahead of a cold front expected to cross Tasmania on Friday. A high pressure system to the northwest extends a ridge over the state on Saturday and Sunday, which is expected to remain over Tasmania on Monday while the high centre moves into the Tasman Sea.

Partly cloudy. Medium chance of showers. Winds west to southwesterly 25 to 35 km/h.

Cloudy. High chance of showers, most likely in the morning and early afternoon. Winds west to southwesterly 20 to 30 km/h tending south to southwesterly 25 to 35 km/h during the day. Overnight temperatures falling to around 12 with daytime temperatures reaching around 17.
