Weather Situation

A trough approaches Tasmania today embedded in a freshening northwesterly stream. A cold front approaches late this evening and will cross Tasmania on Sunday, with a cool southwesterly flow to follow in its wake. This flow will ease through Monday as a narrow ridge approaches from the west, with a low to approach the west of the state during Tuesday.

Partly cloudy. Medium (60%) chance of rain, most likely later tonight. The chance of a thunderstorm with gusty winds later this evening. Winds northwesterly 30 to 45 km/h. Daytime maximum temperatures around 15.
