Weather Situation

A northwesterly stream over Tasmania will strengthen tomorrow ahead of a cold front, which will cross Tasmania in the afternoon bearing a cold southwesterly flow in its wake. The flow will tend west to northwesterly on Saturday before strengthening on Sunday ahead of another front which will cross the state later in the day. On Monday, a southwesterly flow will slowly ease as a high moves to the north of Tasmania.

Cloudy. Medium (50%) chance of light showers, most likely later this evening. Winds northwesterly 15 to 25 km/h increasing to 20 to 30 km/h in the late evening.

Friday 23 June

Cloudy. Very high (near 100%) chance of showers, most likely in the afternoon and evening. Winds northwesterly 25 to 35 km/h increasing to 30 to 45 km/h in the morning then turning southwesterly 25 to 40 km/h in the late afternoon. Overnight temperatures falling to around 9 with daytime temperatures reaching around 15.
