Weather Situation
A low pressure system to the southwest of Victoria is forecast to move through Bass Strait and over Tasmania today, with a southwesterly airstream to follow during the evening. The airstream shifts west to southwesterly on Thursday and persists into Friday, as a ridge of high pressure sits over the southern mainland. A secondary low pressure system is expected to develop to the south of the Bight and move eastwards towards the southeastern states late Saturday.

Cloudy. Very high chance of showers, becoming less likely late this afternoon and evening. The chance of a thunderstorm during the morning and afternoon, possibly severe with damaging winds. Heavy falls possible. Winds northeasterly 15 to 25 km/h shifting southwesterly 35 to 55 km/h in the early afternoon. Daytime maximum temperatures around 18.
