A ridge of high pressure system to the west is directing a cool southerly stream across the state, with the high slowly approaching Tasmania during today. The high will move over the state during Thursday before moving out to the east on Friday, with a northerly stream expected to develop on Saturday.

Partly cloudy. Areas of morning frost. Light winds becoming southerly 15 to 20 km/h in the middle of the day then becoming light in the evening. Daytime maximum temperatures between 11 and 14.
