Southwesterly winds prevail Wednesday and Thursday, as a ridge of high pressure builds over Victoria. A high over the Bight moves to the northwest of Tasmania during Friday, before moving east into the Tasman Sea on Saturday. A cold front approaches the west of the state on Sunday evening.
