Weather Situation

A trough approaches Tasmania today embedded in a freshening northwesterly stream. A cold front approaches late this evening and will cross Tasmania on Sunday, with a cool southwesterly flow to follow in its wake. This flow will ease through Monday as a narrow ridge approaches from the west, with a low to approach the west of the state during Tuesday.

Partly cloudy. Areas of morning frost in the south. Medium (60%) chance of showers in the north, most likely this evening. Near zero chance of rain elsewhere. Winds north to northwesterly 25 to 40 km/h. Daytime maximum temperatures between 10 and 13.
