Weather Situation

A high pressure system to the west of Tasmania will move to the south of the south of the state on Tuesday, with winds to tend easterly later in the day as a trough develops west of the state. The trough will remain to the west of Tasmania on Wednesday, as the high moves to the southeast, before moving over the state during Thursday. On Friday another high will build over the Bight and extend a ridge over the south of Tasmania.

Cloudy. Slight (30%) chance of a shower in the south. Winds southerly 15 to 25 km/h.

Tuesday 18 December

Cloudy. Medium (60%) chance of showers in the south, slight (30%) chance elsewhere. Winds southerly 15 to 20 km/h becoming light before dawn. Overnight temperatures falling to between 9 and 12 with daytime temperatures reaching between 16 and 20.
