Weather Situation

A fresh to locally strong and gusty northerly stream over Tasmania will shift northwesterly Sunday morning, as a cold front crosses the state, before easing later in the day. The next cold front will cross Tasmania Monday afternoon and evening, as an associated low passes near the state, bringing a colder southwesterly stream before a weak ridge crosses early Tuesday. Winds will tend westerly Tuesday morning before another cold front crosses Tasmania later in the day bringing a fresh southwesterly flow. A high will move to the northwest of Tasmania on Wednesday, extending a ridge over the state as southerly winds ease.

Partly cloudy. Winds north to northwesterly 30 to 40 km/h increasing to 30 to 45 km/h in the late evening.

Partly cloudy. High (80%) chance of showers in the north, medium (60%) chance elsewhere. Winds north to northwesterly 35 to 50 km/h tending west to northwesterly 20 to 30 km/h early in the morning then north to northwesterly later in the morning. Overnight temperatures falling to around 6 with daytime temperatures reaching between 11 and 14.
