Weather Situation

Tasmania is experiencing a cool westerly flow produced by a complex low well to the south. The westerly wind builds on Saturday, especially about the south, as a trough skims by the state to the state. Winds gradually shift northwesterly by Sunday afternoon as a high builds to the north of the state. A weakening low slowly approaches the state from the west on Monday and moves in the vicinity on Tuesday.

Partly cloudy. Medium chance of showers, with possible small hail. Snow possible above 900 metres. Winds westerly 25 to 35 km/h.

Saturday 10 June

Partly cloudy. Medium chance of showers. Snow possible above 1100 metres. Winds west to northwesterly 35 to 55 km/h. Overnight temperatures falling to between 2 and 8 with daytime temperatures reaching between 9 and 15.
