Weather Situation

A weak trough lies over Tasmania today. A cold front is expected to cross Tasmania on Monday afternoon, followed by a cooler southwesterly flow. A low centre passes close to the southeast of Tasmania later on Monday bringing gales to southeastern coastal areas which should ease on Tuesday morning. The southwesterly flow will persist on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday as a high pressure system remains slow moving south of the Bight.

Partly cloudy. Medium (40%) chance of showers in the afternoon and early evening. The chance of a thunderstorm in the afternoon. Light winds becoming westerly 25 to 40 km/h in the middle of the day. Overnight temperatures falling to between 9 and 13 with daytime temperatures reaching between 17 and 22.
