Weather Situation
A low pressure system moves well away to the south of Tasmania, as an associated cold front clears over the state to the east. A high is expected to move over Victoria during Friday and extend a ridge over Tasmania later in the day. The ridge is forecast to move east on Saturday, ahead of a trough and a cold front expected to approach and cross the state from the west during Sunday. On Monday, a ridge over the southern mainland will direct westerly flow over Tasmania.

Partly cloudy. Slight chance of a shower early this evening. Snow possible above 1500 metres. Winds westerly 25 to 35 km/h.
Friday 3 October
Partly cloudy. Slight chance of a shower in the morning. Snow possible above 1500 metres. Winds westerly 20 to 30 km/h tending southwesterly in the morning then becoming light in the late evening. Overnight temperatures falling to between 4 and 9 with daytime temperatures reaching between 12 and 19.
