Weather Situation

A high to the west of Tasmania drifts over the state today bringing light winds and cold, stable conditions. The high will move away to the northeast late on Wednesday, allowing a northerly stream to develop and persist through Thursday. A low pressure system develops over the Bight on Friday with an associated cold front approaching the southwest of Tasmania late in the day.

Forecast for the rest of Tuesday

Mostly sunny. Areas of frost this morning and this evening. Winds southerly 15 to 25 km/h becoming light in the middle of the day. Daytime maximum temperatures between 7 and 11.
