Weather Situation

A west to southwesterly airstream will persist over Tasmania today, as a high builds over the Bight. The high will move to the south of Tasmania later on Wednesday, then become centred over the Tasman Sea on Thursday. A trough is expected to extend from Victoria over northern Tasmania during Friday.

Forecast for the rest of Tuesday

Partly cloudy. Slight (30%) chance of a shower about higher ground late this afternoon and evening. Near zero chance of rain elsewhere. Light winds becoming east to northeasterly 15 to 20 km/h in the early afternoon then becoming light in the late evening. Daytime maximum temperatures between 19 and 23.
