Fire Weather Warning
for the Mallee forecast district

Weather Situation

A high pressure system over Bass Strait is moving eastwards and will link with an existing high pressure system over the Tasman Sea tonight. A cold front will cross waters south of the Bight Sunday morning and is expected to reach western Victoria late in the evening before crossing the remainder of the State overnight and Monday morning.

For Sunday 4 December:

Severe Fire Danger is forecast for the following forecast district:
Mallee
Warm to hot conditions are expected during Sunday with light to moderate northerly winds tending northwesterly and freshening during the afternoon then easing later in the evening. Isolated showers and thunderstorms extending from the west during the afternoon and evening although little rain expected.
