Severe Weather Warning
for damaging winds
for people in the South West, Central, West and South Gippsland and East Gippsland forecast districts
Issued at 10:38 pm EST on Sunday 2 August 2015.
A cold front will move rapidly eastwards across Bass Strait and southern Victoria during Sunday night and early Monday morning.
DAMAGING WINDS around 70 km/h with peak gusts of 90 to 100 km/h are forecast Sunday night and Monday morning for parts of the South West, Central, West and South Gippsland and East Gippsland forecast districts, particularly about coastal areas. Alpine areas are also likely to be affected.
The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
- Move vehicles under cover or away from trees.
- Secure or put away loose items around your house, yard and balcony.
- Keep clear of fallen power lines.

The next warning will be issued by 5:00 am EST Monday.
